Lyft is Expected to Report $809 Million in Revenue

—for the second quarter. That figure matches the company’s forecast from back in May—the revenue projection was announced in Lyft’s first-ever earnings report as a public company.

Lyft (ticker: LYFT) isn’t exactly profitable, though. When the company reports results today after the close, Wall Street expects the company to report a loss of $276 million. Better-than-expected results could give a much needed boost to the stock. Lyft shares are down nearly 19% [UPDATE TK] from its IPO price.

That’s how far China’s currency rose against the dollar on Tuesday. The Chinese government gave traders a break, setting the yuan’s price at a higher level than Wall Street expected.

Stocks had their worst day of the year on Monday, after China weakened its currency. The move marked a new level of severity in the U.S.-China trade war. The U.S. answered back, calling the country a currency manipulator.

Even so, the trade-war detente helped the U.S. stock market rebound, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended Tuesday day with a 1.2% gain.

Take-Two Interactive ’s Stock Rose 8% on Tuesday

The rally came after the video game maker reported strong quarterly earnings. Take-Two (TTWO) announced that one measure of sales was 18% higher than Wall Street analysts expected.

Executives at the company—which owns titles like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption—pushed back against politicians’ recent commentslinking mass shootings to violent video games. Their CEO said its “irresponsible” to blame entertainment for the shootings. It doesn’t seem like the controversy has hurt the company’s shares. The stock is up 21% so far this year.

Take-Two旗下拥有《侠盗猎车手》(Grand Theft Auto)和《荒野大镖客：救赎》(Red Dead Redemption)等游戏。该公司高管对于政界人士近期把大规模枪击案和暴力视频游戏联系起来的言论予以了反击。该公司首席执行官称，这些人把枪击事件归咎于娱乐，这是“不负责任的做法”。看起来该公司受到的争议并没有给股价造成负面影响，今年目前为止该股累计上涨了21％。
